Brett Hunt

3-4 ADA, 82nd Airborne · United States Army · 1970s–1980s

Brett Hunt sat down with me for Heroes Live. Seventy-six minutes. Audacia. Sky Striker. A man who flung himself out of an airplane in the middle of the night in the seventies.

Born 1959. Columbus, Ohio. Childhood in the sixties. Lives in Washington Court House now. Has since he got out.

He wanted Ranger and airborne. The recruiter talked him out of Ranger right away. Try airborne first. Plenty of time. He did that. Vulcan mechanic. Toad paratrooper. Entangled paratrooper. He has the pictures.

He joined so the whole United States armed forces would be stronger. He says he did not make a difference. He did. Thank you, Brett. That is why we hit record. Get the story on tape before we are too old or too sick to tell it.
