1SG (R) Jeffrey Caradine

1SG (R) Jeffrey Caradine sat down with me for Heroes I Know. Fifty-five minutes. Soldier. Leader. First sergeant.

Joliet, Illinois. Thirty-five miles southwest of Chicago. Joined out of college in Fayetteville. December 4th they invaded Panama. The guys took off. He said I am your guy. Sign me up.

Same night he got in trouble again. Shots. A specialist coming down the line. Are you allergic to eggs or chicken. Fourth person. He started laughing. No. I am going to save you some time. Do not ask.

Regular Jeff now. He hung it up. He gets to be himself. Thank you, Top. That is why we hit record. Get the story on tape before we are too old or too sick to tell it.
